Polar Guides are approved by IPGA to guide professionally on polar land-ice, are highly skilled, and able to manage and lead all aspects of a polar land-ice expedition and able to manage, lead and consult on all aspects of an extended expedition on polar land-ice including to the South Pole.
- Master Polar Guide
Master Polar Guides are approved by IPGA to guide professionally in the polar regions on land-ice and sea-ice, are highly skilled, and able to manage, lead and consult on all aspects of an extended expedition on land-ice and sea-ice including to the North and South Poles.
- Honorary Polar Guide
Honorary Members have retired from active recurrent guiding. They have shown commitment and professionalism during a lasting career in polar guiding and/or exploratory endeavours. Honorarians are widely recognised as having contributed meaningful, inspiring and broadly-respected service to the fields of polar guiding and/or polar adventure.
